Synopsis For The Middle Texas Coastal Waters
Surface high pressure will move northeast today as low pressure develops in the Southern Plains resulting in a weak onshore flow late today into tonight. A weak to moderate onshore flow will persist through Tuesday morning. A cold front will move into the coastal waters by early Tuesday afternoon. Strong offshore flow and large seas will develop behind the front. Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms will occur along and ahead of the front. Much drier conditions are expected behind the front. The offshore flow and seas will gradually weaken through Thursday as high pressure slowly settles across south Texas.
