It's enough that you have to worry about you and your kids catching swine flu this season. But now you also have to be concerned for … your cat. That's right. Your furry friend can catch it, from you. At least that's the case for a 13-year-old feline in Iowa diagnosed with H1N1 after its two owners both came down with the flu. The cat was treated at a veterinary hospital after appearing lethargic, losing its appetite and having trouble breathing. All three have recovered. Although this is the first documented case, consider it a cautionary tale. While searches on "swine flu symptoms" were up this week almost 400%, lookups on "swine flu in cats" also increased. Got a Nokia phone? Then you best check out your charger before you get a rude shock—literally.

Nokia is warning chatters that a "restricted number" of phone chargers made by a third party (BYD Electronic Company of China, according to PC World) for its phones have a "potential product quality issue": a loose plastic cover that could "come loose and separate," exposing the circuitry inside.

Needless to say, poking your finger into the charger's innards while it's plugging into a power outlet would be a bad thing.

Nokia isn't detailing exactly how many of its chargers are defective, but the Associated Press is pegging the figure at about 14 million, so it's a good idea to give your Nokia charger a quick look if you have one.

So, how will you know if your charger's one of the bad ones? Nokia has a Web site set up with diagrams of the chargers in questions, along with a Web form that lets you plug in the ID number of your specific charger to see if it's been recalled.

If you have one of the bum chargers, Nokia says it will replace it free of charge; check out this Web page for details.

For the record, the affected chargers are types AC-3E, AC-3U (manufactured between June 15, 2009 and August 9, 2009) and AC-4U (manufactured between April 13, 2009 and Oct. 25, 2009).

Nokia says it discovered the faulty chargers during a "routine" inspection," and claims that it knows of no cases where anyone has actually been hurt by a defective charger.
