I saw on Oprah... Denmark has free medical, no taxes, four years unemployment at 90% of your salary if you get fired or laid off, a year off for maternity leave, and people park their babies out on the city sidewalks and leave them to nap in the fresh air without any ever being abducted. Wtf?? we are supposed to be a great nation? thats ridiculous that we can't be like that. When did we decide its better to conquer the world and be the evil warlord country instead of the benevolent country that takes care of its own.

I have a spider bite, can someone advise me? I cant go to the dr until tomorrow. I went for a walk in the woods sunday, got what appears to be a bad mosquito bite on my ankle. It turned into something big like a pimple thats is red with a quarter sized red blotch around it, then two days ago my ankle and foot started swelling, then last night my ankle and foot is getting edema and looks like a stuffed sausage. My granpa, an old florida cracker who is long gone, was full of old wives tales/country truisms. I have been sorta amazed now and then to find there was a basis of truth in some of his more ridiculous observations. He grew up in the 1800s, and he would say as an elderly man in 1960 "green tennis shoes will kill you". We laughed and laughed about that. i am probably screwing this all up.things i can add from personal experience that will help in the event of any sort of natural disaster:1. when events happen feed stores are not open for as long as two weeks. before it hits have two weeks of feed, hay and any necessary meds on hand.2. no matter how poor you are, invest in at least a cheap generator and have plenty of fuel for it on hand3. When on the road never ever NEVER allow your horses to graze on any grassy...
