a. Tropical cyclone summary: none.
B. Tropical disturbance summary: none.
2. South Indian Ocean area (135e west to coast of Africa):
a. Tropical cyclone summary:
(1) at 201200z, tropical cyclone 02s (anika) was located near
15.7s 103.7e, approximately 705 nm west-northwest of Learmonth, and
had tracked southeastward at 15 knots over the past six hours.
Maximum sustained surface winds were estimated at 50 knots gusting
to 65 knots. See ref a (wtxs31 pgtw 201500) for further details.
(2) at 200600z, tropical cyclone 03s (three) was located near
9.8s 83.9e, approximately 780 nm west of Cocos, and had tracked
eastward at 20 knots over the past six hours. Maximum sustained
surface winds were estimated at 40 knots gusting to 50 knots. See
ref b (wtxs32 pgtw 200900) for further details.
(3) no other tropical cyclones.
